CORPORATE SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
CSR is the continuing commitment by businesses to behave ethically and contribute to
economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce and their
families, as well as of the local community and society at large.
World Business Council for Sustainable Development
At Transcarbon, we believe the interests of society are best served by corporations who take
responsibility for the impact of their activities on customers, employees, suppliers,
communities and the environment. We consider that developing sustainable development
practices is an essential part of corporate social responsibility, and we regard ethical behavior
as a principle from which there can be no retreat.

Our customers expect big picture thinking when we help them implement corporate social
responsibility, and we apply the same mindset to ourselves. Our first Board of Director’s
resolution was to require Transcarbon to offset its carbon footprint, which is largely driven by
air travel, by purchasing and retiring voluntary emission credits. We strive to minimize our
environmental footprint by reducing our consumption of resources, and reuse or recycle
whenever possible. We believe operating sustainably not only strengthens our bottom line,
but that we should lead by example.
