Our Carbon CapTM suite (CC-S, CC-O, and CC-M) allow users to characterize, optimize, track and manage their carbon footprints at the process level (CC-S), the manufacturing line level (CC-O), and the enterprise level (CC-M).

The Carbon Cap suite: characterize, optimize and manage emissions from the process level
to the enterprise level

As the three components of the Carbon Cap suite, CC-S, CC-O, and CC-M can be used jointly or separately, depending on your needs and current carbon footprint management practices. At the most granular level, CC-S (Carbon Cap System) can be used to characterize that unique process of yours, for which you have no information or when there is large uncertainty regarding actual emission factors and carbon footprint. Once your key processes have been characterized with CC-S, emissions reduction activities can be designed and optimized at the factory level using CC-O (Carbon Cap Optimization). Finally, CC-M (Carbon Cap Management) can be used at the enterprise level to manage inventories, reduce and accurately report emissions, and trade carbon credits.

Carbon Cap System (CC-S): Life cycle analysis for quantification and comparison of EHS
and Carbon Footprints

CC-S is a process-centric analysis to aid equipment selection, design, and process evaluations in support of carbon footprint valuations, emissions reduction projects, and sustainable decision making. CC-M quantifies the environmental cost of ownership, EHS profiles, and the carbon footprints of manufacturing processes unique to our clients. Using CC-M, we work with our clients to build analytical models of their own manufacturing processes. Upon development and validation of the models, CC-S can be licensed to the user. Please see our CC-S page for more details.

Carbon Cap Optimization (CC-O): Facility-level optimization to reduce carbon footprints
at the lowest possible cost

CC-O is an analytical methodology to optimize emissions reduction projects across multiple processes, entire manufacturing lines, or at the enterprise level. Based on metaheuristic algorithms, CC-O uses combinatorial and probabilistic techniques to reduce emissions at the lowest possible cost. Using CC-O, we work with our clients to optimize emissions reduction activities tailored to their unique manufacturing lines and operations. Upon development and validation of the optimization algorithms, CC-O can be licensed to the user. Please see our CC-O page for more details.

Carbon Cap Management (CC-M): Enterprise software and full carbon-cycle accounting
for managing and reporting greenhouse gas emissions.

CC-M is an enterprise software specifically designed to track, manage and report carbon footprint in near real time. CC-M provides a fully automated solution to manage all scopes of reporting (direct, indirect, supply-chain), using Tier 1, 2, or Tier 3 methodologies (default or measured emission factors). CC-M is currently released for implementation in the electronics industry, covering applications such as semiconductor, flat panel display, Micro-electro-mechanical systems (MEMS), and photovoltaic devices manufacturing to report emissions of CO2, CH4, N2O and fluorinated compounds (FCs). Please contact us for information about licensing CC-M and see our CC-M page for more details.
